Radboudumc does not have any conflict of interest related to the self-developed laser-shoes as they appear in the present Neurology paper. Radboudumc is currently discussing with an industry partner the possibility of receiving a financial interest in a more commercial version of the laser-shoes. Should such an agreement arise, then potential revenues would be invested in further research into the merits of the laser-shoes concept.
