We thank Dr. Steiner for his relevant comment concerning the potential role of epidural/spinal anesthesia in the pathogenesis of Guillain-Barré syndrome following surgery. Unfortunately, type of anesthesia is not available in the French health administrative databases, so exposure cannot be investigated based on this data.
