Submitted August 17, 2020
In a video neuroimage by Freiha and colleagues,1 the inverted triceps reflex was described as “new.” It is not new. The inverted or paradoxic triceps reflex and its long history was discussed in detail by Robert Wartenberg in 1945,2 and the topic was also reviewed in DeJong’s 1950 textbook about the neurologic exam.3 Numerous books and articles mention this reflex, including a 2003 publication by Dick.4
