I read the article by Wolters et al.1 with interest. A study of individuals accustomed to living at high altitudes (e.g., Denver, Colorado, and Johannesburg, South Africa) and others at sea level (e.g., Miami, Florida, and Cape Town, South Africa) might be helpful.
