Dr. Merino is or has been a member of several committees and programs of the AAN and receives funding for travel related to these activities. Dr. Merino has also received travel support from the Mexican Academy of Neurology and from the Mexican Stroke Association for presentations at their annual meeting.
Editorial Boards:
Dr. Merino is Editor-in-Chief of Neurology and receives salary support for the AAN to support editorial activities through a contract between the journal and his employer, Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Merino was US Clinical Research Editor for The BMJ from 2012 to 2019 and received salary support from the journal through a contract between the journal and his employer, most recently (2016-2019) the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
