Tau haplotype frequency in neuropathologically confirmed corticobasal degeneration (CBD) cases and controls
Allele | CBD, n = 114 All cases | CBD, n = 60 USA | CBD, n = 28 Canada | CBD, n = 26 UK | Controls, n = 440 All controls | Controls, n = 290 USA | Controls, n = 150 UK | PSP, n = 128 |

Chi-square analysis shows that there is a highly significant increase in H1 frequency in all CBD cases and in CBD cases analyzed by country of origin compared with their respective controls. The significance values derived from chi-square are as follows: all cases of CBD (p = 0.00255, 1 df), USA CBD (p = 0.0025, 1 df), Canadian CBD (p = 0.003, 1 df), and UK CBD (p = 0.0047, 1 df). Chi-square analysis shows that H1 frequency was not different from that of PSP; p = 0.66 (1 df).
PSP = progressive supranuclear palsy; n = number of chromosomes.
